I'm in middle management. When our company decided to get uniforms for some, but not all middle managers on down, I had my similar ranking counterpart in the warehouse complain about why he had to wear uniforms and I didn't.

As expected, they asked me to wear a uniform. I love it-- one less thing I have to spend my money on and one less source of complaints from certain whiny upper management types who thought I dressed too casually.

I am a support IT person in a manufacturing facility and I would like tanker or flight suit type coveralls. The maintenence crowd does uniforms.
