I was just marveling with my wife how 8 years ago, I would have walked by a group of *ahem* “youths” without much consternation. Nowadays, I’d probably cross the street or even turn around.
Amazing what 6 years of a post-racial presidency will do.
In the past, I would have and have walked among them without thinking about it. No longer. When possible I avoid them. When it is unavoidable, I am ready.
