The mythopoeia of racial injustice in America must be refreshed with symbolism from time to time. It must have its contemporary heroes and oppressors. Trayvon, grows cold in the ground, and efforts to keep his hero status grow boring. ...Then along comes Michael Brown, no mere victim of a not so great oppressor, but a bona fide sacrificial lamb to white institutional slaughter.

For a brief moment in history, Michael Brown, the gentle giant, was a dream come true for the rabble-rousers and roused rabble, a media wet dream. But not really, and not for long. However, let no symbolism go to waste. Holder is here to make sure it doesn’t.

He was. He gently stole the store owner’s cigars. He gently roughed up and intimidated the store owner when he protested the stealing of his merchandise. He gently ruined the Officer’s eye. He gently did all of this. And he probably did it for Travon also. So that, in the view of some, makes it o.k. But what makes what he alright in the eyes of all, including the Whites I saw on another thread holding Arrest Darren Wilson signs is he did it to the Man, he put it to the Man.
