If she discussed the case with anyone, would that be a violation of the grand jury secrecy rules?

Conflict of interest and corruption.
The is rule of law and rule by law.
Totalitarians use rule by law which us what they are trying to do to Perry.

Yes it all stinks but democrats in a sh^t county like Travis can indict republican Governors, Senators and Congressman at their whim. The implications for us conservative hoi polloi are staggering.

"If she discussed the case with anyone, would that be a violation of the grand jury secrecy rules?" I don't know, but thats a good question, an in light of today's lawless democRAT party, I don't think that laws matter anymore if you are a democRAT. Since this 'lady' is a liberal democRAT, nothing she did is illegal.

Can anything be done about it at this point?
To: Rusty0604
When the Republicans learn to fight fire with fire they will eventually end this nonsense. Until then it remains an effective tool for the Democrats.

Speaking of Gov. Perry.........
Recall that the state demonrat party convention ended and about an hour later the Governor’s Mansion was fire-bombed. No doubt just a coincidence.

I don't know. From what I understand, it would be a contempt of court, but in the case of a Grand Jury, there isn't always a judge. Sometimes it's just the prosecutor, and we ALL know he won't do anything.
I've tried contacting my rep, but I'm waiting to hear back. I figure if I don't hear anything, I'll contact Abbott's office and see if they can tell me anything.
Or - maybe we'll get REALLY lucky and one of the lurkers with some knowledge in the matter will pipe up and help. :-)

Yesterday on another thread someone posted that the Travis County DA had been empowered to investigate and prosecute State Gov crimes by a long ago Texas Legislature and that power could be removed by the now GOP Legislature. The poster suggested contacting our State Senators per this. I did.
