All textbooks on iPad at my child's high school, computers for all from K-12 in the school district where I live. This even though most kids already have one and some have more than one computer of their own, the schools private and public have purchased from Apple zillions of MacBook Airs and iPad Airs to bestow upon their students. Students are to use a program called Noteability to write on the screens with the stylus that came with the "device" and use Google connect to send in to their teachers. Did anyone ask the parents for input on any of this? No. Not from the concept to the multimillion dollar purchase contracts using our tuition dollars and our tax dollars. And the big question is why? What is going on here? Regular text books are not good enough? Or it's easier to teach your own manufactured uncriticized or unedited "material"? And how will little kids learn to write? I don't understand it.

yes exactly
Take the counties I work in for example, all the recorded deeds are on line. Where are the paper backups? What if the balloon goes up and the cloud goes down and no one can prove crap
What makes you think I’m not?
Turning over all decisions to a board of elected liars....errr...politicians is a recipe for disaster.
> And just think about the sex ed curriculum!
“Hello I’m Bob and I’m your sex ed instructor. Today we are going to teach you the joys of man-boy sex. Class participation is mandatory or you will be expelled from the course”.
You are right on the money!
We have a situation where the handheld computer stays at school. . .no homework. Practically everything is done on the computer. Teachers are not even called teachers. . .it escapes me now what they are calling themselves. One parent told me her daughter is coming home with extreme headaches.
This is all being done with GRANT MONEY.
Just sayin’
Two words: private school.
Costs a lot, but no question it’s worth the sacrifice.
It’s just a unique keyword so that the articles can be found more easily.
I try to tag everything I ping out as another reason to homeschool with that instead of something more common that would take you to other articles that didn’t get pinged out.
