I always heard whispers about Dinah Shore. Hard to believe but who knows.

One of the more unusual ones I heard when I was a teenager was someone telling me Dickey Lee’s father was black. Just like Dinah, he’s never talked about it (why should he?) but I find his nose interesting. But what does it matter?

No, Dinah Shore's parents were Jewish. They were shopkeepers in Tennessee, where Dinah was born and raised.
