I suppose we’ll know within the next three weeks or so if any of this tinfoil is legit.
Honestly, I was paranoid after 9-11 for years. I remember Glenn Beck doing a show about how terrorists could attack multiple schools (Beslan style) and bring our nation to a halt. There was another report on how easy it would be to take out multiple water supplies. Vulnerabilities to our power grid and so on...
Two dozen well-coordinated and determined individuals with minimal funding could hurt us bad. Heck, have twelve people, in pairs of two, hit six malls during Black Friday - just wait two weeks until things begin to die down, then have another dozen hit six movie theaters - and our economy would take a nose-dive that would last more than a year.
As easy as it really would be to strike a serious blow to our nation, I’m starting to feel a bit of contempt for our bloviating ‘enemies’ for only tossing us an inept shoe-bomber and another inept underwear-bomber after all these years.
I mean really guys. Is this the best you can do?
It wouldn’t take much.
I’m beginning to believe that our ‘enemy’ consists of a bunch of internet bloggers who like to fume online but don’t really have the balls to do anything - like - for real.
Also, endless news stories, articles, and books about the terrorist threat from "backpack nuclear weapons".
