Colin Kaepernick says he's criticized because of 'stereotypes and prejudice'

Former NFL quarterback Chris Simms believes that Colin Kaepernick receives unfair criticism. Simms got a chance this week to ask Kaepernick why that might be and Kaepernick says it comes down to two things: 'stereotypes' and 'prejudice.'
In case you haven't noticed, Kaepernick isn't shy about showing off his tattoos. The 49ers quarterback also likes to wear his hat backwards -- and he thinks both those things are part of the reason why he's unfairly criticized.

It is time we have the first tattooed-American president to send a message to the rest of the world.
I have a feeling Rush will mention this issue.

Ya know Colin, I don’t recall Warren Moon being a big whiner.

Everybody is a victim, even the superstar multimillionaires. About how many aspiring kids who want to be an NFL quarterback make it? .000001%?
Wow. Is anybody ever happy and just content to be a man and enjoy the fruits of their labor and blessings? Or does everyone have to chime in to how they are a poor victim in need of sympathy?
Oh, and about those Christians children getting their heads cut off? ...oh, never mind.

Tats and hats are CHOICES.
Anybody is fair game over the choices they make.

Poor little millionaire baby.

Does this a-hole not realize that there will ALWAYS be someone out there to criticize and complain? More importantly, didn’t he know that public figures are constantly criticized for a wide variety of reasons?
So, who the hell cares if it is because of stereotypes, prejudice or just pure ignorance! Ignore the haters and keep on, keeping on!
I don’t like him and mostly criticize him because he plays for the stupid 49’ers - that’s all the reason I need!

Don't they do tats and hats to get attention? Then they get the attention. Then they whine about the attention. GROW UP KID! You are making millions of dollars to play a game.
Russell Wilson is a class act. So is that kid the Skins have whose name escapes me at the moment RGIII or whatever.

Russell Wilson is the ultimate positive black role model. Please, Russell, do not come out and campaign for Democrats.

I don't really care about their hats or tats, but they do this to get attention, so they need to quit whining about it.
Just a note, if I go to a store and they have some tatted up and pierced person as a cashier. I leave. Judge me how you will. I think it's gross. I dislike the piercing more than the ink. They want everyone to look at them with that junk on. But some of us don't want to see it.

I like to watch RGIII and Wilson play they are exciting. Kapernick is just a big mouth with a big hat. He can play, but he’s not Joe Montana. There I said it! :)

I prefer QBs who can actually throw balls accurately and aren’t trying to replace the running back.
