Do you ever worry about becoming allergic to bee stings? Do you carry an epipen with you just in case?

No, but the head of the Arkansas Beekeepers, gradually, became very allergic to bee stings, after 40 years of keeping bees. He got stung in 2013 before one of our meetings and his arm was 3 times the size of the other one AFTER taking alot of benydryl.

Docs told him that he is now in the severe category.

As to your other question, yes. I keep Epipens for, not me, but say, the yard worker, neighbors kids, etc.

I was stung a few times while I was growing up but it was never a problem,. Not until I was about 28. I was stung about 6 or 8 times when I got into a nest of yellow jackets. I swelled up pretty big and since I was under the care of an allergist at the time, he started giving me weekly shots . I have only been stung once since the allergy shots ended and I had no reaction at all.
