Ok, he was a lib. But at least he supported the troops, unlike others in his biz.

It’s clear that he made them happy and lifted their spirits. That’s wonderful.

Yes, he did as I just learned today. Thanks for posting this. Not the world’s biggest Robin Williams fan, but always good to give credit where it is due.

Not the worlds biggest Robin Williams fan, but always good to give credit where it is due. My feelings exactly. I didn't care for him much either as an actor or comedian, although I did like the movie Awakenings, with him and DeNiro.

Yes. Must give him credit for that. Hope he didn’t mix in his liberal views.

There's more respect visible here than in a certain "Pledge of Allegiance" photo that we've all seen:

My cuz who is now stationed at Sokor saw his act when he was in Iraq from 06 to 07’. He makes jokes about Bush but RW saw no one was laughing so he quickly moves on to non political stuff. Yeah he’s a lib but I’ll give him his due as he brightened the day of a lot of guys there...including my cousin.

(fired liberals in our company last election, and I laughed while they cried (true story))

Thanks for sharing. That was really special. His improv after ‘retreat’ was perfect.

He always gave me the willies, but didn’t seem to have an agenda other than to make people laugh.

Nice big American flag in the background. At first I thought it might be the flag of some middle eastern country. Lol.

This is Williams' fifth USO tour...least he could do after the way he mocked the military in "Good Morning, Vietnam"......
