UPDATE: I just heard from Roy, she says that the surgery went well, and that she had just woke up from it. She was afraid that she was going to lose her whole leg but she says she didn’t so that’s great. She is still on her narcotics from the surgery but she’s typing fine. Glad to hear all went well, but, that poor woman! What she must have gone through — I didn’t realize she was afraid she was going to lose her leg to the infection - and having to wait for a room like that..sheesh! That’s just cruel!
Where on Earth is she living that they have limited hospital space for such critical situations, along with no air conditioning?
What type of surgery did they have to perform - and has she been assured it took care of the problem?
