BTW, this boy must have been home-schooled or went to private school. Public schools don't allow boys to develop this way.

Very possible, if not likely. But there is no "code" in auto racing that basically OBLIGATED him to do so.

A very tragic accident and the kid certainly did not deserve what happened. His poor choice and disregard for basic safety put himself at risk, and put every driver on the track at risk.
