I think the jink the rear end took was a result of the rear tire hitting the other driver. My son has pro software for video work and he looked at it, slowed it down as much as possible and then froze it.

Too bad the kid had such a dose of “bad ass” to not just stay close to his car to do his salute.

Stewart was going the same speed as the other cars, remember, no tranny on sprinters(just and in and out box) and going slow doesn’t work.

I drove one for fun at a track in Perris. There are “no brakes”! Direct drive only. No starter, must be pushed by a truck etc to start it. They run on methanol and like another poster said it will jitter your eyeballs out. I believe Stewart made an attempt to swing the rearend away from the dumb walking racer on the track.

Sorry for the death to happen but car vs human and he paid the price. Dumb move in my opinion.

MSM is making this accident into a murder story intentionally.

Bottom line, motor sports will eventually fall as NFL will due to pressure from the Left.

In the mean time motor sports will be pushed to limit their racing vehicles to electric powered with large soft bumpers and speeds not above 10 mph.

Amazingly advanced engine!

I wish a legion of ignorant sports talkers would do ANY background on any aspect of sprint car racing. Their research ended at ‘Stewart’s a hothead’. They watched a video of an event about which they have no clue and pretend to be experts. Even after several days of opportunity to talk to someone who really knows the sport. Amazing laziness.
