That's a nice shirt buddy? Did you get a bowl of soup with that?
He can even afford his own buttoner.
His money. I say, go for it.
Does anybody know a Desi version of Gert Fröbe we can cast?
“MONEY WELL SPENT!”
I’d give you the shirt off my back!
Old, medieval stuff - “cloth of gold” - was fairly usual among Indian princes and the like.
How do you wash it?
That would also describe most American PhD's, I believe.
One Sunday morning in the fall of 2001, I was driving through Gary, Ind. when my friend and I saw a crowd in front of a small church that included a man with a golden suit—gold pants, a golden jacket and a big Stetson hat. We figured he may have been the pastor or some local big shot. My friend insisted on taking a picture of him. So I parked the car across the street.
Since Gary, Ind. is not exactly Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., East Hampton, NY or Cleveland Park, DC, I kept the motor running while he stepped out and took the photo. When he got back in, we hightailed it out of there.
Some of the Indian hyper-millionaires aren’t such nice people. A relative of my wife got stiffed out of his life savings by one. Others may be generous and altruistic, I don’t know.
