I believe she played with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra a few years ago. She’s an absolutely phenomenal violinist.

I agree, I just discovered her by accident last night and have been kicking myself for not finding out about her sooner.

Reminds me of the video game Gyruss. Isn’t this piece also known as “The Planets”?

According to her bio, she was 16 at the time of that video. Wow, that's some talent.
As an aside, isn't she the skier whose olympic debut was tarnished due to some issues with others trying to help her to qualify for the olympics this last winter?

Okay, I looked it up. Holst did the Planets, Gyruss’ version of this Bach piece was performed by Skyy.

I know she’s a competitive skier but haven’t yet had the opportunity to read a bio; just found her last night on YouTube.

The ping list is Modern Music, focused primarily on how original classical music compositions have morphed since 1900, IOW what came after the Romantic Period. The Genre Benre is my new sort-of-daily thread (this is the third one). I’m tagging them with the GenreBenre keyword and pinging to my list, so you can find the threads either by searching the keyword or by joining the list.
Cheers,
