Hard to lose sleep over this, after all a squirrel is just a rat with a bushy tail.
I despise cruelty to animals in any form, so I am not losing sleep the bounty on this guy’s head. I happen to like squirrels, although I know full well why farmers don’t think much of them.
It’s like watching an adult steal a lollipop from a kid, it isn’t the value of the lollipop that is key, is is what you have learned about that person, that gives you the willies.
Actions have consequences.
The world would be a better place if the consequences had teeth.

Qualifying which *kind* of animal is okay to torture walks perilously close to the ongoing issue of “what life is”.

In reality ethical hunters and most of us are ethical, are their best friends, particularly to deer, fish and birds. Here in Texas the Texas Wildlife and Game Commission surveys the wildlife every year and determine how many deer, birds and fish should be taken each and every year. The survey determines what is the ideal population and how many should be taken each year to obtain the best balance. Hunters are the balance, otherwise the game goes through a cycle of over population and thus starvation and death.
We hunters and fisherman also pay big bucks on our purchases of hunting and fishing gear. These bucks go to the Texas Wild Life Commision to manage hunting and fishing, and this is good.
The most reprehensible are those who are most cruel to the most defenseless. But this thread will devolve into bacon.
Somebody help these people to get a grip. What next? Outlawing and confiscating all flyswatters. Eric Holder using the Department of bleepin Justice to prosecute, maybe even execute all CEOs of pest exterminators? “End the torture! This is not the America I know!”

Squirrel may have a long ride down, but they usually survive and the subsequent sudden impact is doable, for a squirrel. their terminal velocity is survivable.

Hope someone gets the reward, and soon. Anyone needlessly hurting an animal -especially because they think it amusing, is a truly sick individual. Study after study has proven a link to children going from cruelty to animals, to intentionally hurting them, to torturing them, to turning into evil murdering sociopaths with no conscience whatsoever.
I understand people who consider squirrels a nuisance, but there are also others who post things such as Slow-Cooked Squirrel Stew, so there are some that can see them in a positive light.
That does not condone the actions of the wanker here, however, as there was no reason to abuse this poor squirrel at all in this manner. Then again, I hate rats... but I would hope that such a dislike would not lead to actions such as this, however.
Farmers and Ranchers raise livestock of all sorts. Cattle, sheep, pigs, and others, but not one of them would dream of deliberately harming any part of their stock. What would be the point?
This individual, from a personal perspective, is no better than that SOB (Son Of Barak (obama) ) that lured a cat in to be petted then casually punted the poor feline into the air to the hoots and laughter of his associates -one of whom recorded the entire incident- and rightly deserves to be ostracized and pointed out as soon as possible for the evil person he so effectively portrays himself to be.
Jeffrey Dahmer started out killing squirrels, then neighborhood cats and dogs.
If it was a ground squirl he should have hilled it!
A fitting punishment would be for this joker to fill in the grand canyon with a hand shovel and then empty it out again.
