Anderson Cooper discusses the recent Ebola outbreak in Africa with Dr. James Wilson, the director of the National Infectious Disease Forecase Center.
Wilson notes the recent outbreaks seem to have hit more populated areas because of deforestation, and “human beings showing unrestricted growth.” Wilson says “we’re going to see more of this.”

This is a perfect example of “correlation does not mean causation.” It is pure political bloviating on the part of the author. (I looked to see if it was by Al Gorical.)
I think today the biggest WMD type threat comes from radical environmentalists. Many of them have advanced training in biology and many consider humans to be a cancer on the earth. They would have the means and motivation to spread a disease like Ebola to kill as many people as possible. Even radical Islamists don't want to kill everyone. The enviros would be happy with it.
