Hmmm. Not sure about the list. All great cars but when I think muscle car it’s more the then mid sized cars from the Big Three all with engines over...well over... 350 cu in.

Pony cars eventually get into the muscle car genre but to me they aren’t classic muscle cars.

I’m with you. I’ve always thought of a muscle car as a 2-door intermediate sedan stuffed full of motor.

Easy way to tell. Muscle cars have a big block.

I agree. The article is blurring the distinction between pony cars & muscle-cars. As much as I appreciate the early Mustangs they really don’t belong in the same class with contemporary Chevelles (for instance). Apples & Oranges.
