Depression is a disease of the mind. Telling someone suffering depression to go kill themselves is about as constructive as telling someone suffering heart disease or cancer to go kill themselves. It might make the idiots who say it feel a little better about their miserable selves, but it contributes nothing but a little mindless cruelty to a world already overflowing with it. Simmons needs to STFU and stick to groveling for forgiveness from the mother of his kids on TV.

Well, this is going to go over like a lead balloon, but I am about over the “clinically depressed.” I mean, nothing seems to help these people. They try this medication and that medication, and there is apparently just no cure. So they go on being depressed, and usually making sure their friends and family and co-workers are depressed along with them. I mean... come on.

Depression is a disease of the mind.

For most people it's simply a fault in the way they think called cognitive distortion, and it can be cured easily. Gene Simmons doesn't understand and neither do the people who agree with him.

I’m regretting posting this. And now I am depressed too.
