Cops need to adapt their thinking to reality, in which most folks who take prescription drugs during the day DO NOT carry with them the original containers.
True. Many people transfer their pills (when they are on a regimen) into sorters for morning pills and evening pills.

Older people with multiple prescriptions routinely take a pill from each and put it in a container, when they know they will be traveling and will need to take their pills on the road.
I agree. But when my daughter’s friend showed up one day with two baggies full of pills I questioned the heck out of him. I told him in no uncertain terms to not bring any meds over unless they were in the original container. At the time she was hanging around with some shady characters.
I told her that if her friends didn’t show ID and consent to me searching their bag they were not allowed on our property. A couple were dumb enough to allow a search. I confiscated a few things and said if their parents came to get them they could have them back. No parent ever showed up.
many people buy other types of pill containers to hold what they have to take every day. they aren’t illegal to own. also if this is such a danger to do they better start putting big warning on original bottles to not put them in other containers, i would guess most people are not warned about this and don’t know you can lose your dog over it.
