I almost fell out of my chair when I saw that! That is NO exaggeration! It was too funny for words!
Fangs!
Mew’re welcome.
I once acquired a cat some kids were pedaling around the neighborhood when the soft side of me said, What the Hell .
He was black and white, with a black snout that made him look like Jimmy Durante, so I called him Naris, which someone told me was Spanish for Nose.
So, one day I was cleaning out a closet and found a full length mirror I didnt even know I had. (This happens sometimes as you work your way through four wives.) While cleaning the closet, I leaned the mirror against the wall thinking it would be safe.
But after a while I heard this strange series of noises. Naris was attacking his reflection in the mirror!
Now, all kittens will do this, and they will use every stance/bluff/attack/horrible sound instinct has given them. Naris was no exception, but he was far more determined than any cat I had ever known before. The moves he made were deadly serious for him but absolutely hilarious for any human being that happened to be watching.
Trust me; he was FAR more serious about it than this cat but he made every move this cat makes and more!
The most amazing thing about Naris was that he put everything he had into the battle. He would soon become exhausted and have to retreat behind the mirror and regroup. Once hidden from the horrible cat in the mirror he would all but collapse, wheezing and gasping while he looked around asking himself, What the Hell have I gotten myself into THIS time!
But Naris was not lacking in courage or commitment. After a short rest he would charge into the open and attack that damned cat with everything he had left!
I used to drag that mirror out to amuse my guests. It always worked; people would talk about The Great Cat Fight for weeks after.
But I never let the battle go on for too long; Naris was a great friend and companion who gave allegiance to no one but me. I didnt want him to have a stupid heart attack battling that damned cat in the mirror!
He was a great cat who was up for anything I wanted to do. I miss him very much.
