Shalom was right. A quarantine would have saved countless lives. Gay and intravenous drug users, plus anyone who slept with them. Women are more susceptible to receiving HIV from normal sex. A lot of women died because they slept with someone, sometimes their own husband!

Aids patients should have been quarantined.

“Aids patients should have been quarantined.”

Early on before they understood what it was they did not know they were infected. Now there are guys called “bug-chasers” who have sex with known infected men to get the disease. There are also men who have it and have unprotected sex on purpose without informing their partners. Their purpose is to spread the disease. This is apparently no longer illegal as a court recently let a guy go who did this. (Some politician cut the tracking bracelet off the man’s ankle and a crowd cheered.)

“Aids patients should have been quarantined”

Most HIV+ patients are asymptomatic (and infectious) for 8-10 years before they show signs of being sick.

Quarantine in the period 1978-1985 would have made a big difference - but there was no test. All the cases 1985-1995 were infected by 1985, and after 1995 there was treatment.
