NEWINGTON Vice President Joe Biden was tragically killed today in a freak misunderstanding that occurred when he unexpectedly showed up at the front door of the home belonging to 18-year-old Talia Maselli, who about a year ago had invited Mr. Biden to her high school prom.
Talia’s mother, also a fan of Mr. Biden, answered the door when he arrived, but did not recognize him while speaking to him through her screen door. She was therefore startled by what appeared to simply be just a very old man who was insisting that he had been invited there and was looking forward to an enjoyable evening with Talia.
Ironically, Mrs. Maselli had a shotgun nearby which she had purchased about two years ago when Mr. Biden suggested that shotguns were a much better alternative to assault rifles, and that homeowners who needed protection from intruders could “just fire the shotgun through the door.
So sadly, that is what she did. Shortly after the shooting it became apparent to Mrs. Maselli exactly what she had done. Her daughter, Talia, who had known Mr. Biden was coming, had posted the news all over Facebook and other social media, but had forgotten to tell her parents. Talia came running downstairs after hearing the shot, and was devastated to find that her prom date had been shot. “Mom, how could you do this - you absolutely ruined my prom”, she cried.
Realizing her mistake, Talia’s mother expressed remorse over Mr. Biden’s death, and also that her daughter would also now have to go to the prom without an escort. As Talia left to go to the prom, she wondered aloud about whether the shotgun advice that Mr. Biden had given was actually good advice for homeowners.
But her father, who was also watching his daughter leave for the prom alone, replied “No, I think Mr. Biden was right about that”.
Bah, hah! I love it.....
Well done, though I would not have included the word “sadly” in the fourth paragraph.
