Kenny Bunk,
Sorry it took me so long to reply. You asked how I thought the US should respond: I think the US response should have been to start supplying the Ukrainians arms and Intel so they can defeat the Russian backed separatists in the east and eventually take back the Crimea. The US should also restart the ABM defense system that Obama abandoned in Eastern Europe and President Obama should be rallying the Western Allies and NATO to back Ukraine to the hilt in a coordinated diplomatic offense designed to isolate Russia diplomatically on the world stage. Of course none of this will happen because it would be in the US’s best interests to have such a response but our current President does not believe in acting in the best interests of the US.
Best Regards
Over the past week or so, the Ukrainians appear to have gained the upper hand militarily. So, the ball is now more firmly than ever in Putin's court. Unfortunately, winter is on the horizon and he has his hands on Europe's gas valve.
The problem with having Nelly in the WH is that he is liable to dither us into a real war, rather than take a firm stance on anything.
Is this a wartime leader?
