Listened to the broadcast from the Moon while standing radio watch in the command bunker of a Marine infantry company guarding the Nam-O bridge on Highway 1 (just north of DaNang).I was in our rented home outside of Yokosuka NB in Japan. Armstrong took his first steps around lunchtime, and I was watching on Japanese TV. No one else seemed very interested, but I couldn't keep my eyes off the screen. #1 on the bucket list was to be on the moon before I died; given the lack of space travel since, I'll have to do it after my death, on the way to heaven, by the grace of Christ.
