To: Ditter

The road which turns off the main highway before heading up the mountain toward our house is named “Gay Road”.

It is named for a small community that used to be there and was named “Gay”. Absolutely NOTHING to do with homosexuals.

Liberals destroying the language, again. If they cannot co-opt a word then they outlaw it.

Next thing you know some Federal judge or the USPTO will outlaw “Redneck” and “honkey”. Then what shall I call myself?

yeah, gay used to mean “happy and joyous”. Redneck meant a fair skinned person who worked in the sun and had a sunburned neck, like my husband. I never knew what “honkey” meant. Maybe I am one. :(
