Both the nuns and the Army taught me my style of writing many years ago.Presumably it was the standard method back then.I'm not much concerned by those who disapprove of my style.

It reminded me of a job I once had where we had a six hour meeting debating I’d we should use one or two spaces after periods and between sentences.
I was strongly in the two space camp.
