For my English 121 class I have to do a research/argumentative paper.
I don't want it to necessarily be about something like guns or abortion. I want something a little creative. It has to be something I can research. Something I feel passionate about (I know you all don't know what I'm passionate about, but I am passionate about conservatism). It doesn't have to be politically related/controversial, but those are the terms I generally think in. It can be something from the past or present. Also, I have to give the opposition's side.
Any serious/creative ideas, please post.
BTW, shockers of all shockers, my teacher is liberal. I don't think he will grade me harshly, though, for coming down on a conservative side of an issue. I think he will be fair.
No, just inhibitions sharing on open forum. Definitely don’t mind sharing with you via FRmail. Thank you so much for asking. That makes me feel great you would be willing to read.
Just trying to format it so more readable on FRmail. Almost done. :)
I sent it! :)
Thank you all for your congrats. I’m happy because I feel like I got to voice something that may not have been thought about. Maybe planted a couple of seeds.
We also had discussion boards we had to participate in, and I voiced some conservatism there, too. I didn’t use a sledgehammer either. Not sure if anyone got to see my posts as I was often doing the discussion boards at the 11th hour, but I did promote some of our thoughts and thinkers of the right. The environment in this class was not hostile even though the teacher was on the left.
Thanks, new word to me. I like it.
Outstanding...love that you chose that topic for a male professor. Congratulations. ..maybe you can get it published as an op - ed in a local newspaper??
Liberty, who really founded this county and why our founding fathers escaped persecution for freely practicing their faith. OTW known as the Bill of Rights. That will blow some brain cells.
Great job on your part.... and a wonderful topic
