Yeah, and the buildings are financed by a combination of taxes and public bonds. The owners demand new stadiums every 35 or 40 years. The bonds that paid for the stadium being demolished haven’t even been retired yet.
Some cities don’t even go 35,to 40 years before its time for a new stadium. Metrodome lasted 30,years. Kingdome only lasted about 25. Atlanta is replacing both the Georgia $Dome and Turner Field after barely 20,years. Stadiums have a short shelf life apparently nowadays.
