And I thought the folks trying that on Lake Erie beaches were nuts.

Quarter sized maybe.
Summer in Siberia is probably no worse than summer in North Dakota. I hope they were alright.
Splashes mean nothing because the size of a splash depends on the depth of the water and the smoothness of the object. Look at the hail on the beach. They are the size of marbles at most.
