Damn. I’d a done it just for the free chocolate. Of course all in the guise of ensuring our customers got the best possible product. ;>}
I think they spend a lot of time at Eagles Mere - which is just up the road a bit.
Despite signing the contract (with our option to extend), she turned around and demanded we close in only 2 weeks, and threatened to sue us if we didn't. In the words of our very expensive attorney, "You definitely have a case, but in a pissing match what matters is who has the bigger bladder".
A huge and important factor for her was the fact that you could see the Hollywood sign from the bedroom patio. We visited the property this May when we were back in L.A., and the sign is no longer visible at the location due to a new highrise on Sunset Blvd. HAHAHAHA!!!
where’s bill gates? where’s warren buffett? where’s george soros?
seems that if you leave off the democrats, your list becomes republican heavy.
It always helps to choose your ancestors wisely.
Nice. Looks like my garage. Well at least in pictures. LOL!
Why do you have to make such a snarky remark about the Walton family? They’ve done a lot for veterans and they’ve provided jobs for thousands of them. You sound like a liberal. You’d want Waltons to give them hand-outs?
LOL! Hopefully you were able to use the proceeds from an LA sale to buy, oh say, 10 houses in another state. I read somewhere that 1300 sq/ft houses in LA are going for nearly $800K. WTH? How can anybody afford those kind of prices. YIKES! Guess my little abode would bring about 1.5 mil. Now if I could just move it down there.
We're still waiting for California to refund our excess capital gains tax of $83K... in CA they withhold from home sales based on the entire sale price and you have to file to get it back... a real pain in the neck.
“They brag about the fact theyve hired 60,000 veterans, but they wont pay them more than $9.00 and hour.”
That is pure BS...
That is for someone who starts as a sales associate with no work experience.
Pay scales differ in each state, and even by area within a state. The pay is also based on the how much the Walmart store makes. The more money the store makes, the more money you make.
Some cashiers make as much as $18.00 an hour based on number of years worked.
A cash office manager makes $18.00 a hour also based on number of years worked.
A store manager’s salary ranges from $80-$110K/yr, depending on sales volume. A customer service manager could make maybe $10-$12/hr. Asst Mgrs start at $43K/yr and cap at $63K. CoMgrs base is $65K/yr.

Lynx in New Iberia, Louisiana says:
The Store Mgr Salaries vary depending on the store volume. I noticed some people published some numbers that are closed to the real ones but it seems that they heard them from someone else.
Now you get to hear this form the horse’s mouth (Who made most of those salaries).
Store Mgr <$40 million $73,000/yr
Store Mgr $40-$80 million $88,000/yr
Store Mgr >$80 million $104.000/yr
the bonuses vary by tier if you do threshold of your plan (95% avg), plan (100%), Max(102.5%) and Super Max (105%).
These bonuses also vary depending on your pay scale, for example a Store Mgr under 40 million will have a Super Max (105 % performance ) of 85% of the salary, while the $40-$80 will have 105% and the over $80 will have $115% (Thats a bonus of 119,000 approx taxed at a 41%).
The values vary by metro locations, if you work at a nationallly considered metropolitan area you make $10,000 more per year and you are eligible for RPZ (Regional Pay Zone) for cost of living.
Shift Mgrs (Formerly Co Mgrs) Make $60,000 per year non metro and $65,000 per year metro with a super max bonus of 45%.
Asst Mgrs start at $38,000 and are able to get raises till they reach $54,500 with a super max bonus of $15%.
I began my career as overnight stocker and unloader while attending college. Once I graduated I became an ASM (back them the salaries began at 32),then Co and Store Mgr. I stayed 10 years and moved on to other ventures.

LOL! Hoping it’ll be too much hassle to undertake. We left FL because of the humidity, hurricanes, mosquitoes, alligators, love bugs, roaches and on and on. Settled close to your former state. Actually about 12 miles east of the line. Enjoy life in FL. Far cry from Cali.
I’m glad to be out of the big city for sure, and we love the weather here (of course air conditioning and a pool helps!). We used to live up in WA (had a nice waterfront property in Poulsbo) but my wife couldn’t hack the 10 months of grey skies.
Roger that. Guess we’re caught in between being now in Reno. We love it here. Gotta work on the local politics but it could be worse. Nice being able to sit on the patio and not be swatting gnats, no-see-ums and skeeters. Or toweling off the sweat running down your neck. LOL!
I guess to be listed under “Families” you need more than one significantly rich person. I think Bill Gates and his wife have it all right now. Same with Ellison. Check back in 40 years!
The only bug issue we had in L.A. was the crickets. Sometimes one would get in the house and drive us nuts at night. I guess no matter where you live, there’s always something.
LOL! We have some little black crickets at our house that are always trying to sneak in to aggravate us. They meet a quick demise once located. No hurricanes here but then we have an earthquake issue possibly. At least with the storms, you get some warning to act on. Although, in 24 years in FL we never left the house for a storm. Of course we were inland about 15 miles and had an elevation of about 30 feet. Hope you guys aren’t too close to the water what with all the sea level rise and such. ;>}
A lot of smiles in those photos. Who says money doesn’t buy happiness?
I’m only 5 miles from the beach. We did at least have all the windows and doors replaced with hurricane impact windows/doors. We’re also having an addition built, and we’re designing that for 180 MPH winds.
Yes, there’s a question in how their wealth is measured. For instance, with the Clintons ‘donating’ earnings to the Clinton Fund, do you count that wealth?
And Saint Warren. I don’t see the Buffets on there.
