Can we use the same logic on gun control?

It is the same logic. The rights protected by the Constitution are laid out because they are natural rights endowed by Nature's God.

That is what the entire preamble to the Declaration of Liberty is all about. “Endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights, among them (not exclusive to them) are the Right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

The ‘Pursuit of Happiness’ was always meant to be ‘property’ property rights as a man who is a subject to a duke or landlord is never truly free or happy.

Regardless, The Constitution was set up to DENY the government from compelling a person to do certain things and that denial of the government is what the Leftists hate the most. It is through force that they compel people to commit acts they find morally objectionable and through those acts they make us all complicit in their sin.
