It was over for most Americans when we got knocked out by Belgium. Soccer is a crappy, boring sport and 95% of American citizens (not counting the illegals here) only care about it when they have their home country to root for. Kinda like the Olympics, no one actually cares about track and field but it's mildly amusing when we can cheer for the red, white and blue.
Soccer is a great sport. Sorry to burst your bubble. If you think the World Cup has been boring, then you really haven’t been paying attention.
