Pure incompetence.

Kennywood here in Pittsburgh brings the maintenance staff in early every day. They run empty cars and then send a maintenance guy down the tracks every morning, looking for problems hours before paying customers get there.

A tree branch fell on to the tracks. There may or may not have been negligence regarding the status of the adjacent tree, but I’m pretty sure every amusement park follows the procedure you described.

Kennywood is only a quarter the Size of Six Flags L.A.
Still though, they could do their maintenance at night after the park closed (like they used to do in the 80’s).

What a silly a$$ comment .....You beloved Kennywood has had its share of incidents and or accidents. Magic Mountain runs all its rides empty an are checked daily
