When our daughter was a baby, about 40+ years ago, a couple we often visited had a German Shepherd named Buggar. He was a sweet, slightly “affected” dog, but the minute we first walked through the door with our baby (they had no kids yet) Buggar was attached to Jannah at the hip! He would not go off the blanket. He’d get taken off, then he’d creep back over slowly until he was lying next to her. When she could walk, they were inseparable! They kept Jannah for us for those few “dates” we had...we were in the military then...and Buggar would be at the door BEFORE the car actually arrived, waiting patiently for her to come through the door. Once Debbie told Buggar to make sure Jannah did not go up the stairs. Jannah did, and as soon as she got up the stairs, Buggar sat down to block the steps and then barked so Debbie would know. They would play in the toilet together! (There was one tiny BR toilet left for Buggar to drink from...his own toilet to play in and he and Jannah frequented the toilet together!) It was so cute! She missed Buggar after we moved from there (when my husband got out of the military and returned to college). Sweet memories.

Most definitely not purebred, but most definitely heavily GS! Maybe with a bit of terrier or other smallish breed mixed in (Podengo?), with that snippy snout and proportional yet weak ear.
