the group known as "Star Trek Continues" has released their 3rd episode "Fairest of them All" which answers the question, what happened to bearded Spock and the Mirror universe. The episode is right here:

I also like Phase 2
This episode, though, is very very well done.
They need an up and coming screenwriter with loads of ideas?
These guys are GOOD! Better than the original. I’ve been following them since they started. Thanks for the heads up!
That is COOL!
Absolutely. I love watching these episodes.
I could ask a similar question. I’ve had a few rattling around in my head and a copy Screenwriter I need to re install on the new PC.
Pretty good. Is the audio sped up a bit?
I found it a few days ago and those guys are really good indeed.
I ran across these farting around on Youtube yesterday and was absolutely flabbergasted! They nailed it, and on small money, to boot! Just, wow...
I thought Sulu was gay.

Clever idea.
The acting is so-so. But dang the writing is spot on! With the actors from current movies with this writing....PROFIT!
Is this the STOS where Kirk beams to some place but instead gets beamed back into a universe where Democrats have achieved “utopia”? Meaning their world revolves around evil? They also did a dig at liberals with the episode starring Jill Ireland “This side of Paradise” which is one of my favorite all time episodes. “Feeling good about yourself is the most important thing.” Then they wake up and find they’ve accomplished absolutely nothing
These fan films are not allowed to make a profit.
Weirdly if they made a parody - making fun of Star Trek - they’d probably be able to make a profit.
See “Star Wreck”...
Oh, no - no out-and-gay-lifestyle advocating 'Spock' for me!
The guy who plays Kirk is good, but they should have gotten a guy with a baritone voice to play Spock. It doesn’t work with a tenor.
