Harris did an appearance in more recent years doing a more kid friendly version of the song with the Australian group called The Wiggles.
My granddaughter has a CD of it.
You must not have been a pop music fan in the summer of 1963, when "Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport" was one of my favorite songs. Interestingly, another of my favorites was "Blowin' in the Wind" by Peter, Paul & Mary. This was long before I discovered that it was a Communist song.

Something did. In 1977, he had a radio program called "Young People." On one of these broadcasts, he praised the ultra-radical feminist Letty Cottin Pogrebin. But I gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumned that he was unaware of her radical background.
