A really good alternative is Trader Joe's organic ketchup. No high fructose corn syrup and at just 1.99, it is a buy and it tastes very good. I will never buy a Heinz product or any product that contains high fructose corn syrup. It is not sugar. Sugar has a pentose and a hexose, high fructose corn syrup has no pentose. Left out the details on the chemistry but sugar and high fructose corn syrup are not the same, despite what the manufacturers would want us to believe.
