Sitting here with my ThinkPad R50e running Win XP. It does everything I need and then some. Tell me again why I should upgrade?

MSFT made XP, and Win 7 for that matter, too good.

If MSFT lives up to their “every other OS is a good one” history, Win 9 should be a humdinger!

Who knows? Maybe by then I’ll have updated to Win 7 where I can still run XP in a virtual machine :)

Agreed. Running with XP on the majority of machines that I need it for those programs that need the 'doze OS, or even 98SE for its DOS support and have seen no need to "upgrade" so far.

Was not happy with win7 when I tried it and still see nothing but problems with win8/win8.1 to this day.

Still using Linux for the vast majority of things I need to do, but who knows? Perhaps win9 may show some intelligent additions this time in the newest version.

It could happen. Maybe.
