What the hell has that to do with agents of the government entering private yards unannounced, opening up with firearms and shooting pets to death in neighborhoods full of kids and innocents?

It has to do with a concerted effort to by the cops to desensitize us to their intrusions with deadly force.
Are we getting the message? Police have abandoned Protect and Serve, poop on community goodwill and support, they have SWAT and all the Mil stuff they dreamed about.
