An Ohio dad lost his job at McDonald's and may face jail after he reportedly believed his son got on a church van Sunday, but instead, the boy popped up at a nearby Family Dollar store.
[....]
Williamson was arrested at the scene and could be charged with child endangerment, the report said.

It made TROUBLE with the gummint that he avoided church..?
That means they’re white.
Wait, so his child snuck off and he is charged with intentionally endangering the child? Wouldn’t it also be child abuse if he kept the kid on a leash so the kid couldn’t ever slip away?
Yeah, this was in Wyoming where criminals were hanged rather than coddled.
LOL how'd you guess?
Stupid!
Stupid!
Stupid!
Stupid!
G*d d@nm pussy @$
do-gooder liberals.
Do we really have to bang someone’s head against the concrete for every little infraction nowadays? Hell early pioneer settlers would have been charged with cruel and unusual punishment for making their sons help on the farm, the SPCA would have charged the same for slaughtering a hog to feed the family, the EPA would have fined the family for not getting the proper permits to dig a well, they would have been charged with a hate crime for shooting at Indians trying to rustle their cattle, etc....common sense and context has been thrown our the windows and they have got he citzen’s pea brains exactly where they want them; that citizen’s shall not question their overlords, that their overlords are always right, and that we should be expected to pay the overlords a pennancd every time we commit an infraction because we deserve it...
That’s ridiculous. This sort of thing happens to the best of parents at times.
I ran off, a few blocks down the street, as a little boy (no fault of my mom) and when she saw I was gone, she instantly prayed. As a result, two angels brought me back to her, as she was standing out I’m front of the house.
When I was a kid I could leave the house and play all day. My mother didn’t know where I was. That was “child endangerment”???
Cop should be fired for lack of judgement and wasting public resources.
I hate to think of the potential legal bills this family can’t afford to rack up if the judge that hears this case turns out to be a dumb authoritarian like the cop.
Craziness.
When my kids were growing up, they were definitely walking to school at that age.
Give em hell:

Me too. But that was then, and this is now. Then, there were neighbors who knew you and were at home and could report your whereabouts, or if you were injured.
We live in anonymous neighborhoods now.
Oh, this is just nuts.
(The kid should have known his address. 8 years old!)
When I was about 10, my parents would give me a quarter and I would walk several blocks, pick up a friend, and then continue to downtown and attend the Saturday morning matinees. One day, my friend and I discovered that if we just stayed in the theater after the morning films were done, we could watch the double feature, newsreels, and all the short subjects and cartoons for free. We did that one day and didn’t get out until 4 PM. Our walk home got us back to our neighborhood about 5.
My parents were beginning to worry, but not enough to call the police because they would never dream of bothering the police to look for a couple of little girls.
It’s the correct PD ^. If there are other circumstances or prior history that is unknown they better make public announcement fast because it’s not looking good for them at this time,
Hell when I was 5 years old had to walk a 1/2 mile to kindergarten
The route included crossing a busy street and railroad tracks
Parents taught me what to do ...........
Well, there’s a point. Every mom on the street stayed at home and they all kept their eyes on us.
When I was seven my friend and I would ride our bikes for miles up and down alleys searching for treasure. We would be gone for hours and no one would panic, that was called NORMAL.
