Conservative pundit Ann Coulter believes that the countrys growing interest in soccer fueled by Team USAs success in the 2014 World Cup - is a sure sign of America's moral decay.
Coulters reasons for hating soccer include that individual achievement is not a big factor, it isnt rough enough, and the fact that it's foreign.
As a conservative she argued that liberals only love soccer - and the metric system - because they're both 'European.'

LOL
Ya mean y’all could afford horseshoes to play with instead of shoeing a horse?
Wow! We’uns had to use washers. That is, until they were needed to fix something that broke. But we didn’t mind, what with the white lightnin’ to drink and grapevine to smoke.

I neither agree nor disagree on this one. Ann simply has an opinion and I truly enjoy reading her.
I personally watch soccer every four years and to Ann's point, my great-grandfather wasn't born here. But every four years we hear the same old-same old: America is embracing soccer! No we ain't. We're just watching the biggest sport spectacle before the NFL season starts and in the middle of dog days of summer baseball. It helps having the U.S. in the thick of it but after this World Cup, it'll be another four years before ‘mercans give professional soccer the time of day.
