Pointing out that post-election challenges usual fail, one Tea Party leader, Judson Phillips is calling for Thad Cochran's primary challenger, State Senator Chris McDaniel to run as a write-in candidate in the Fall.
The Republican Establishment thinks they have fought back an insurrection from conservatives and now we will meekly fall in line in November and support a RINO who needs Democrats to win? Never, said Mr. Phillips, who also writes a column in The Washington Times. If Chris McDaniel loses his challenges to this election, then he needs to be a write-in candidate this fall.
It's increasingly clear that Democrat votes, particularly from Mississipi's African American community helped Thad Cochran eek out a win over McDaniel in the GOP primary. Those votes would most likely go to a Democrat in the Fall, meaning McDaniel may have a good chance at winning in a three man race.

I think McConnell has a cumulative ACU rating of about 96% versus close to 0 for Dirty Harry. That is a difference. So are appointments to the Supreme Court.
Forgive me. Perhaps I am suffering from blue state traumatic stress syndrome. After being stuck for over twenty years with both Boxer and Feinstein, even Cochran looks pretty good in comparison. And I would LOVE to have a US Senator with a voting record similar to McConnell, Pat Roberts, Mike Enzi, or John Cornyn!
So, for a write-in to be valid, the current candidate would have to suffer an incapacitating incident, essentially a fatality???
Not only that, but the NEW ‘write in’ candidate would have to be selected by the party itself or something.
So even in the event of the first candidate being deceased, it’s still not a ‘free for all’ write in your own personal favorite person like in Alaska.
McConnell donated to and campaigned for the candidate who sent out this call:
If he doesn’t condone this, why hasn’t he condemned it?
Here are a couple of interesting graphics showing various voting numbers primary/runoff.

You guys don’t like McConnell and Cochran?
Fine. I’ll take them. Give them to me.
Now, if only I could find a way to get rid of Boxer and Feinstein.
You folks don’t know what hell is.
I suspect if Cochran were in California he’d be the most liberal dim in the senate. I suspect his veneer (and a very thin one at that) of conservatism over the past 40 years has been just thick enough to get him re-elected.
Look for tweets and facebook posts from his daughter to see what the *real* Thad Cochran really thinks of all the rest of us hicks and rednecks that have stupidly pulled the lever for him for the past 40 years.
No more.
