Without looking it up -as I remember, Reagan got a million from the Japanese to give a speech.
If it seems unfair to the in-debt students - let them complain to the University. - tom

As UNLV is a state university, it is about as capitalistic as a request to the feds for funding to study climate change.

UNLS has about 25,000 undergraduates. So it comes out to $10 a head for tickets. I think the students would prefer a coupon for the Golden Corral or to the multiplex a bit more for the money.

That's probably more cronyism than capitalism given that it's a state school.
