Netherlands stays perfect in Group B with win against Chile
“I thought it was a game at the highest level that was won by the smartest team," said Dutch boss Louis van Gaal after the match. “Chile had one chance in the first half and that was it. I think it’s been proven that we give very little away and create a lot of chances.”

With both teams already through to the Round of 16, courtesy of wins against Spain and Australia by each side, this essentially became a tussle to avoid Brazil in the next round.

LA is under alert, huge celebrations in Los Angeles over the TriColor.

World Cup 2014: 4 arrests during celebrations in Los Angeles area after Mexico beats Croatia

This shows largely why the USA has stopped playing to some extent home games vs. Mexico in LA. Columbus Ohio seems to largely be the homebase for the USA's games.

In one way, it doesn't strike me right they celebrate so much but I'm sure you have big celebrations when Italy wins in the World Cup as well.

The thing with the World Cup is after Sunday, either Netherlands or Mexico won't still be in the World Cup. I know the Dutch will be favored. So fans have to celebrate while their team is there. Since the game is in Latin America, I have to give that edge to Mexico. They did only go out to penalties in the 1986 World Cup against West Germany.
