The United States and Germany both have four points and are atop Group G over Ghana and Portugal who have one point each. In the group stage of the World Cup, wins are worth three points, and draws are worth one point. All four teams have one game remaining.
Germany and the U.S. will play Thursday in Recife, and Ghana and Portugal will kick off at the same time in Brasilia.
Here are the scenarios:

One more and Mexico wins the Group!
I don’t want Mexico to win. There would be far too many people in this country celebrating the third world way
Brazil just scored.
Yep, Brazilian for Brasil.
To my eye it just looks better. :)
Croatia scored, so Brazil has top spot wrapped up.
Cameroon 1
Brasil 4
Croatia 1
Mexico 3
Dos a Cero!
Extra time!!!
Full time!!!!
Brazil advances to play Chile and Mexico will play the Netherlands.
Brazil is the prohibitive World Cup favorite.
They have never lost a game at home.
They’re well on their way to a sixth World Cup championship.
But watch the day after a loss by them IF they lose. I saw plenty of them after 2002 and when the Nats, team USA beat them. Long faces alright.
And whether they needed it or not, they got help in game 1 from the referees.
If the game is fair, I say Chile, their neighbor in South America nicks it.
Yes, they have lost a game at home, probably games at home.
Last competitive game they lost at home was 41 years ago or something against Peru.
They also lost the 1950 World Cup final in the Maracana, Rio De Janeiro to Uruguay.
But however this goes, this is the best World Cup in a long time, 2006 wasn’t bad for drama, 2002 okay and I don’t remember 1998 that well.
1994 in the USA was a good World Cup.
I don’t even know if we have had that good of World Cup coverage in the USA but only for a few World Cups, maybe only since 2006.
Italy should be ready to defeat Uruguay, Italy has upset me at times at how they have won as in 2006 but I have an Italian friend, Evangelical Christian, saw him tonight, he’s got all of these soccer jerseys, he’s a great guy. Still, sometimes the way some teams win does anger me.

It’s been a long time since Brazil lost a competitive game at home, still, hard to say how this team compares to the really great teams of Brazil.
The world has caught up to Brazil.
If you had told me before the World Cup began that after game 2, the USA would have 4 points, I would have taken it.
Cliche Time, that’s all. Kind of funny when you hear people say that.

Speaking of the 1950 England vs. USA game, this is one more case where I don’t know what to think.
Joe Gaetjens, the Haitian who scored our goal today so that the USA won 1-0, he had a chance to become a USA citizen and from what I understand declined. Of course, he disappeared during the reign of Papa Doc in Haiti.
I know it feels odd to be disappointed with "only" 4 points, given the group they're in, but they had such a golden opportunity to have 6 and already be qualified.
