I remember way, way back when... that the U.S. armed forces and National Guard was
allowed to recruit at highschools... The U.S. Army landed a Cobra in the front lacrosse practice field at my H.S. and the kids were allowed to play hooky from class and go check it out and speak with the flight crew. This was just around the time of the Apache rollout, but still... what an truly awesome machine and perfect recruitment tool the Cobra was. I recall it being armed with TOW missles and a drop pod with survival equipment or medical gear, but this was so long ago... I know my brother got pictures of it.
I would dread the maintenance and operations costs... nevermind the purchace price of that aircraft... plus with a cockpit that is all of 3' wide (exterior dimension), I would be wedged into that thing painfully tight.
