can apple IOS be installed on a generic tablet??

Nope. iOS expects to see certain hardware (CPU, periphery chips, & how they're integrated etc.) and certain firmware (ROMs) in order to boot.

"Generic" tablets can even have different CPU architectures entirely! Right now iOS is all ARM based (but this, technically, could change).

Thank You. Is there something that would keep another company from producing a tablet that would be similar enough to “fool” the OS?
