Capello: We were caught out trying to win the game
“Frankly I’m very happy with the performance of the team. The result is unfair but the truth is we lost. We had chances to win, it was a very good match because both teams gave it their all and tried to win. Unfortunately it was Belgium who were able to make it.

“We played a good part of the first half on the counter attack. We had very clear chances to score in the first half but we got the last pass wrong or we tried to do things too hastily. In the second half, we were the team that had great possession but Belgium are a very dangerous team.

“We tried to win the match and we were subjected to a counter, that’s all. We tried to win it.”

FT: South Korea 2-4 Algeria
A brilliant win for Algeria. One which sets up their final game against Russia very nicely indeed. A point is good enough for them in that game, and it wouldn't be the first time they've held Fabio Capello's team at the World Cup (England in 2010).

For South Korea, they have been punished for an awful first half. They improved in the second, but they couldn't really get much worse. Their progress beyong Group H now depends on them beating Belgium, but also on other results. Not mathematically eliminated, but it will take a minor miracle to qualify.
