Funny they call it “ethical”, yet it’s all according to their own contrived standards of “ethics”.
The water in plant matter could also have “animal” microbes in it. What then? Yeaaargh . . .
If it's fresh veg from Mexico, it's very likely to have microbes in it from 'fecal splashing' in the field.
That's a term they taught us in culinary school.
I wish I had skipped that day of food safety.
